"IF YOU WANT A VISION OF THE FUTURE, IMAGINE CRAP 808 SAMPLES STAMPING ON A HUMAN FACE- FOREVER"

Forthcoming on 502 Recordings
A label headed by master selector Oneman was always going to be pretty unstoppable. When the fair ship 502 was christened by the irrepressibly anthemic Night Hunter, most everybody with their eyes on the prize (quite understandably) lost their shit; who would have thought LFO wobble could sound this good in 2010? Not one to rest on his laurels, Oneman’s coming out fighting with 002, pulling for Jay Weed’s exquisite “Prism”. Peverelist style rhythmic tics meets the swarthy retro futurism that’s infected everything from the underground noise scene to the ‘ardcore continuum (IE; exactly our shit) in a way not entirely dissimilar to the Punch Drunk bossman’s forthcoming collaborations with Hyetal. Fetishised eighties projections of the future are reinterpretted; naivety transplanted by mechanical robo-ritualism, absorbed into the 2010 mainframe via heavyweight bass pressure. If the crossover success of Hyetal’s Phoenix is anything to go by, Prism’s clever straddling of Wire-friendly hypnagogia and soundsystem thunder might just follow it.
