"IF YOU WANT A VISION OF THE FUTURE, IMAGINE CRAP 808 SAMPLES STAMPING ON A HUMAN FACE- FOREVER"

This one kinda slipped through the net a bit, and in a way it’s surprising it hasn’t been more widely publicised – Laurie ‘Appleblim’ Osborne recently recorded a typically excellent mix for the Burlington Project. In keeping with the mood of the times, and Osborne’s own flighty eclecticism, it finds him moving between genres with characteristic ease. The first half largely explores the deeper recesses of house and techno, including Palmarosa’s mind-bending ‘Visionquest’ (which I believe is due out on Apple Pips in the future) before suddenly upping the pace with his Al Tourettes collaboration ‘Mr. Swishy’, and heading off into dubstep territory. Thoroughly recommended, neighbour-bothering business.
No tracklist for this one, but it all flows into such a seamless whole it hardly matters.
