AE were back, live from the Hive, for our first show of 2011 last Thursday. The show started off on a heavy, bumpin’ house/techno tip, before moving into new broken house and garage sounds (including bits from the new wave of Bristolian producers, the likes of Arkist, Hodge, Artifact, Portrait and Kahn), and finally onto some brand new, synth-heavy dubstep (conclusive proof the sound’s still got a fair old bit of life in it yet).
