Some pretty cool new tracks from Sydney’s new uber-synthesist Dro Carey have appeared over the last couple of weeks (not a rare thing, admittedly - the guy’s almost terrifyingly prolific), including these two. The first, ‘Leary Blips’ perfectly accompanies the Pierre Magneto video that accompanies it, a deeply weird, wired slab of electronic psychedelia. ‘Narcoleptic Funk’ is a little less likely to set off acid flashbacks, but still pivots around the sort of diffuse, edgy percussion and haunted vocal samples Carey’s quickly made his sonic signature.
