The response to the awesomely eclectic Fabric 50 mix seems to have eradicated the last of Martyn’s self restraint when it comes to audacious genre leaps. Whilst Fabric 50 may have effortlessly beaten down the barriers between rawkus UK funky, pristine Berlin techno and jackin’ US house, this mix takes it further, dropping instrumental hip hop, classic Drexciya, Prince (yes!) and more into his ever expanding DJ oeuvre.

Without a doubt one of the most consistently on it labels of the past few years, Ramp Recordings have been responsible for a steady stream of top notch releases from Zomby, FaltyDL, Shortstuff, Slugabed and a whole heap of other scene leading pioneers. More a catalogue of previews than a mix in the conventional sense, label boss Tom Ramp strings together a series of mini mixes consisting of the coming months’ output. Always Everything favourite P.U.D.G.E features, as well as brilliant new material from the ever undefinable Shortstuff, Japanese beats queen Tokimonsta, and a selection from last year’s excellent compilation Skweee Tooth.

Unbelievable set of mixes from three of the UK’s best proponents of sub heavy hybrid house & garage. Some amazing unreleased tunes here, including the reappearance (finally!) of Hessle’s enigmatic Joe. For some reason I got it into my head that Joe = secret Pangaea alias.. though I’m not sure why. Enough words anyhow, think these mixes should stand for themselves. Cop it whilst its still pon de iplayer (or wait til someone rips it)
