Undoubtably one of the centralmost figures in the Bristol dance music scene, Peverelist (né Tom Ford) has played a pivotal role in continuing the city’s astounding musical legacy. Whether this is through is own painstakingly crafted, technoid productions (mindbogglingly revealed to be built in Fruity Loops!), the output of now-totemic label Punch Drunk or simply as owner of Bristol’s bass music hub Rooted Records, its hard to imagine what the musical landscape of the city would look like minus the man. In typical Pev fashion, this mix comes without a tracklist, but the more learned trainspotters might recognise appearances from Hessle badman Blawan, Dutchman 2562 in A Made Up Sound guise, as well as a healthy handful of the man’s own productions- most notably incredible new 12” Better Ways Of Living. “Just in my bedroom on my 1210s.
